Dana McCullough

Born in France, Dana McCullough’s artistic journey began at an early age, fueled by a passion for creativity that has spanned multiple disciplines, including dance, theater, poetry, and short stories.

Her visual artistry finds expression primarily through oil and acrylic painting, while her exploration of form has led her to sculpture an endeavor she has pursued for many years.

Dana began her sculpting career in San Diego, training under Bobbie Postman before spending many years at the Lynn Forbes Sculpture Studio in Carlsbad, California. In 2021, Dana acquired the studio and renamed it Lieu de Sculpture, honoring her French heritage. Her dedication to her craft has also taken her to Florence, Italy, where she has studied at the Florence Academy of Art under Thor Larson, further honing her skills and expanding her artistic vision.

Beyond visual art, Dana has a rich background in the performing arts. She has appeared in numerous musical theater productions, taking on both ensemble and lead roles. Her voice training spans musical theater, pop, and opera, showcasing her versatility and love for performance.

A lifelong educator, Dana dedicated 25 years to teaching English Language Arts to high school students, including Advanced Placement Language and Literature. She holds a master’s degree in teaching and continues to share her knowledge and passion with both young people and adults.

Dana’s commitment to personal growth and artistic exploration defines her work. Whether through painting, sculpture, or performance, her artistry is a reflection of her rich life experiences and her deep love for creative expression.
